Future Plans

I have always seen this Art Instructional Program as the beginning of something big. I would like to eventually see this develop into some kind of self-help instructional painting program via DVD or some other media to help artists develop their God given talents. I believe I can teach the traditional principles of landscape painting in an easy and understandable way. I hope to be able to continue to simplify and teach these principles so that future generations will preserve this knowledge and perhaps see some great art sprout from the seeds we are planting today.

In regards to the McNaughton Art Instructional Program, these are the following plans:

1. New brochure to concisely describe the different classes.
2. A new 25 page Beginner’s Booklet to help new students prepare for the classes. More concise than the workbook to emphasize skills helpful for the 2 Evening Class.
3. New DVD Package kits to allow students to paint the popular Country Landscapes on their own.
4. Manufacture the popular "McNaughton Value Scale" to assist artists learning how to control values in their paintings.
5. Schedule some kind of touring lecture or class to accommodate some of the other Roberts Stores.
6. Manufacture a kit for the purpose of learning to handle color and solve color problems. Learn to not have a single square inch of mud in your paintings!
7. Eventually create a DVD showing McNaughton fixing problems in student’s paintings. Absolutely fascinating.
