Nauvoo Temple
“The word “Nauvoo" is the Hebrew equivalent of the words “City Beautiful". All temples are special, but Nauvoo is particularly so, being the last temple constructed under the leadership of Joseph Smith. I painted this setting of the Nauvoo Temple with an almost dreamlike quality. I included the small gate in the foreground which to me represents the gate the Savior spoke of when he said there would be few who would find it. The early Saints were among the first to enter this gate and paved the way for many to come."
